I had a wonderful Sunday.

We all slept in until 10:30, then I went and got Mocha’s and breakfast from Tim Horton’s.  The day was pretty much FABULOUS by that point already.

We lounged, played, and I got ready for a photo shoot I had at two.

After that, we took Lily for a ride in her little wooden sled my Mom bought her for Christmas last year. Last year, Lily hated it and would cry and fuss every time we attempted to take her out in it, although I think this is from what I call “The Michelin Man Effect”. This is where your baby has so much snow gear on that it’s impossible for them to bend any limbs or even at the torso- therefore, her sleigh rides were always spent nearly horizontal.

After the sleigh ride, played a bit more outside on the “snow slide” I made for Lily.

Then it was time for hot chocolate. I deemed Lily more than old enough for her first MUG of cocoa!

By the end she was practically gargling it like it was Scope mouthwash (Thanks for teaching her that, Daddy!) so we stripped her down, and of course, when the shirt comes off, it’s painting time.

After cleaning up from that wonderful idea, I made supper. Roasted garlic chicken breasts with potatoes, gravy and garlic bread. IT WAS FUCKING AWESOME.

After supper, picked up Grandma and went to the Enchanted Forest. Lily loved it, although I think it should be a walk through event instead of a drive through deal.

After all of that, we came home, gave Lily a bath, put her to bed, and then Dustin and I drank a case of beer and partied like it was 1999. Or that’s what I would have done if I wasn’t so exhausted.

Road trip and Mozzarella Stuffed Chicken

My friend and I took a road trip to Regina last weekend. We visited our friend, did shop shopping at the mall and also went to Moose Jaw for more shopping. Since C is pregnant we couldn’t really get into too much trouble but it was super relaxing and enjoyable. I also managed to squeeze in a bit of work down there but I made up for it with wine, lasagna and letting A be the one to paint my toes/handle my feet (besides me) for the first time EVA!!. Truly, a life changing experience haha.

Last night for dinner was stuffed chicken breasts. From grilled cheese to Mozzarella stuffed chicken breasts(source: . What’s next? Maybe I will fly to the moon tomorrow.

You Need:
62 g (1/4 of 250-g pkg.)
Cream Cheese Spread, softened
1/4 cup  finely chopped green peppers – I used a fresh tomato instead since green peppers make Dustin gag.
1/2 tsp. Dried oregano leaves  – I used basil.
1/4 tsp.  Garlic salt
1 cup Kraft Part Skim Mozzarella Shredded Cheese, divided
4 small  Boneless skinless chicken breasts (1 lb.), pounded to 1/4-inch thickness  – I used the bottom of my pepper mill. Normal people could use a tenderizer.
1 cup Pasta sauce
Add some Spinach too,  if you’re super adventurous. * I just introduced spinach to Dustin, using it instead of lettuce when applicable. I did not add it to the chicken in fear of scaring him away too quickly.

Make it:
oven to 400°F.
first 4 ingredients until well blended; stir in 1/2 cup mozzarella.
chicken, top-sides down, on work surface; spread with cheese mixture. Starting at one short end, tightly roll up each breast; place, seam-side down, in 8-inch square baking dish sprayed with cooking spray. Spoon pasta sauce over chicken; cover.
30 min. or until chicken is done (170°F). Sprinkle with remaining mozzarella; bake, uncovered, 3 to 5 min. or until melted.
Serve with choice of carbs. Or salad, if you’re into that kind of thing.

This is probably one of our first family photos ever. I don’t think we have too many, usually it’s just me going nuts with the camera featuring Dustin and Lily. This was taken at Dustin’s brothers wedding last weekend. It was beautiful, and Lily was such a good girl that weekend. She even slept. IN A HOTEL ROOM. Where there are no white noise machines or walls separating us. Or black out curtains. But she did pretty well, and I think this bodes well for the future and calls for more Leaving The City For A Few Days trips. Also in this photo, I’m wearing a dress for the first time since elementary school. I hate dresses but this one was comfy and reminded me of a silky fancy housecoat/robe thing. Pretty sure Dustin has had a few dozen Boh’s by this point…

365 photo project: week 34

The photo in the right top corner summarizes how Lillienne felt for exactly seven days. What a nasty flu that was. Fevers, barf everywhere (on floors and towels and t-shirts and everywhere including the kitchen sink) plumbing issues (seriously, right?!?!), interesting yet disgusting non stop diarrhea and a fussy, unhappy, lethargic baby living off pedialtye, gravol and baby tylenol. At one point she woke up from her nap shaking, and her lips, hands and feet had turned blue. We flew across the bridge to the ER where they checked her over, gave her more tylenol, and did a catheter urine test on her to check for an infection in her bladder.  No infection, and they told us the blueness was just her body trying to keep blood in the core but that was the scariest shit ever!
Everyone here has pretty much recovered so its back to work, back to naps and back to nice, normal, happy healthy lives. Hallelujah, Homies.
And apparently, it’s spring now. There are flies outside, spiders on my balcony and i just found an ANT crawling on my window. 21 floor UP OFF THE GROUND. WTF??!!
