People are weird.
I’m trying to shop today, browsing in the office supplies aisle looking at recycled paper when a man in his fifties rounds the corner, sees Lillienne, and starts talking to her.
“Well, Hello! You have a book! Is it a good book?”
Lillienne is obviously stunned and I’m trying to figure out if I know this person or not. Nope.
“Yeah ha hah…” I said, or something like that, and pulled my cart with my child it in closer.
Later in the checkout line, the woman behinds me is having a full on conversation with Lillienne – one-sided of course because at this point Lillienne is looking from me to the woman with an expression that says “Who the frig is this?” And then you have to be polite and small talk with someone while you buy a pepperoni stick for lunch.
And some people go right up to my child and touch her hair. Or her cheek. Not cool. I don’t know you, don’t touch my child, sorry. Unless you ask me. Or buy me a Tim Horton’s first.
Note of interest: Tim Hortons has flavour shots. Am I the only one who is just finding out, or is this a new thing? Because it’s changed my life, people. Cafe Mocha? Boooring. Cafe Mocha with a MINT flavour shot? HAPPY BITHDAY!

People are weird.
And of course twelve seconds after my last post, Lily starts hitting me. Hitting my legs, hitting Dustin’s legs, hitting herself on the head…and always with that look in her eye..What are YOU going to do about it? Give me not as many TIMBITS?
Hitting is wrong! Don’t hit Mommy! I just bought you a dancing Frankenstein doll when I could have gotten some new lipstick or a paperback or a bag of popcorn the size of Alaska from Kernels.
But aren’t my new mugs gorgeous? The pattern reminds me of the mugs my at my grandparents house. They make coffee and tea that much more wonderful. And a shout out to my Mother! Happy 52nd Birthday, Yo. Or, as Lily says, HAPPY DAY!
Recently, I have a developed a beautiful relationship. And I’m not talking about the Candy Cane flavoured coffee CR steals from works and brings over here for us to indulge in (By the way, where the fa la la la la can I buy this stuff? It’s like crack! Oh the candy cane goodness!). No, it’s not that. It’s online shopping!
I have realized I LOVE online shopping. I Love my little pay pal account that I have set up. I love clicking and browsing from the warmth of my home, with, of course, my candy cane flavoured coffee (What about candy cane flavoured creamer? Can I at least buy that somewhere?). Over the past couple days I have purchased some wicked eyeshadow from www.mineraleyez.com, some pink and green decorations for Lillienne’s room from csnbaby.com, and then I stumbled across an email from a rep from csnstores.com.
And guess what! They are offering me a product to giveaway on my blog. Yay! Something free for one of my readers, right around Christmas. It’s the bee’s knees, everybody. I wonder if they sell candy cane flavoured coffee?
Today I’m going to spend a few minutes (hours) browsing their websites (www.toysandgamesonline.com, www.cookware.com, www.allbarstools.com) and choose an item for a giveaway for my readers. And Canadians will be able to enter this time! I know, right! So cheers to all my Canadian (and everyone else!) readers, csnstores.com, and Candy Cane flavoured coffee. This makes my day!
