Someone needs to freeze time.
Lillienne is going to be one month old tomorrow. Already!! It’s not fair.
In one respect, I want her to stay teeny tiny forever. I love how she gazes as me when she is eating. I love how she is starting to grin at me. I love how small her hands and feet are, her little nostrils, her itty bitty earlobes. I dont want her to grow up. I want her to sit on my chest forever. I want to cup her bum and hold her head in my palm for infinity.
On the other hand, I cannot wait for things to come. Giggles. Pig tails. Crawling, walking, running. Words. Ice cream. Mittens, spray pools, training wheels. Stay small. Grow up. Stay small.
I did it! I finally gave birth.
Ten days “late”, Lillienne Elizabeth was born via c-section after 26 hours of labour at Royal University Hospital. She came out on Thursday, February 19th at 5.29 pm, weighing in at 7.5 lbs and a beautiful 21 inches long.
